The Spirit of Horses....
As we drove up the gravel road to the farm i wanted to know why this farm have the name of Perdekraal. Over 1500 hectares of nature with amazing vistas and sunset will most probably be a treat for every day. Starting in the oubergpas enroute to Ladismit the farm flats out to one side with almost a terrace where the farmyard is nestled into the kloof. The farm water is drawn from 4 potable water borehole. Irrigation can be done from a sound constructed earth dam. Two boreholes is completely off the grid with alternative power supply. The remaining two boreholes are all installed with decent pumps and rising mains and inverters. A very well solid constructed earth dam is probably one of thee greatest assets of the farm and catchment is made of very good use. The three bedroom farmhouse have alternative energy and solar warm water geyser. Kitchen and bedrooms have installed cupboards. A porch with boma and garden overlooks the small fountain invested ravine passing the pecan nut orchard in front of the house. The grazing capacity of tha land calculate to about 250 ewes or 40-50 cattle. Intensive grazing can add substancially to this figure. Fencing is in fair to good condition. The climate is always more moderate than the lower parts coming to Montagu. Kudu, Grey Rheebok and several smaller Game Species frequent the farm. The area is more and more into the conservation of game by game farms being established in the surrounding areas, actually a very good idea. Actually there is a intresting story to this farm ...... Impliments are included in the selling price with 50 ewe sheep and lams.
